I am sure that you all know the famous story of Aladdin and the Lamp. In this adventure, Aladdin finds a dirty oil lamp in the sand. He rubs the lamp to clean it off and "poof!" - a magical, wish-granting genie appears. Put yourself in Aladdin's shoes: you found the lamp, you awoke the genie, and now you have been granted three wishes.
In
this creative writing blog post, I want you to pretend you're Aladdin, and tell
me what you'd wish for if a genie could grant you any three (3) wishes.
Take it seriously and think critically and creatively about your wishes.
Really, stop for a second, and think about this. How would these wishes
impact your life? Why did you select these three specifics wishes. Also,
remember the old adage: "Be careful what you wish for; it just might
come true." In a well-written (correct capitalization, punctuation, and sentence structures) paragraph, tell me about your three wishes and the reasons why you chose them.

ReplyDeleteIf I ever had the change to meet the genie, I don't think that I will be terrified, in the opposite I will be very happy. I don't think that three wishes will be enough to fix everything in my life, but let's see what I will think about. The first thing I will say to genie is: "make me a genius" I don't know exactly why , but when I think about it , I say " I am going to have excellent grades without bothering myself " this will help me through all my studies and academic career. The second wish I may think about is that I want to have a magical box like the one I used to see in cartoons , inside it there are little bottles , when you open one of them magically it gives you some space like a room , or it gives you a car or something useful; I thought about this wish because sometimes in our life we need something and we cannot find it immediately. To be careful from what I wish , I don't want to be the most beautiful girl in the world or the richer one, instead of that my third wish will be to let me travel the world and discover every culture , with the purpose of both having fun and learning , this wish will not be complete if I didn't chose someone really special to share it with. I still have other wishes but I just tried to keep it realistic .

DeleteWhile I was cleaning the oil lamp , a genie appears and said : I will grant you three wishes , so think about them and tell me . For the first minutes I was shocked so I couldn't believe what he was saying. So to verify if he was saying the truth I decided to make my first wish so I said to him I want to be the richest man on earth so my father wouldn’t need to work anymore. My second wish was that I want a beautiful woman who can love me and take care of me. And my last wish would be that I want three other wishes because life is unexpected and sometimes the human really need those whishes so it’s better to take advantage of them in those moments. All my wishes granted, I was so happy because from this day my life would be easier and happier.

DeleteI am not the kind of people who would say that I want all the money in the world, that I wann be rich until I die. Why? because it's not what would bring happiness to my life. I know that a lot of people pretend that money can buy you things that would make you happy. The thing is that this is some materials that can disappear in every moment in your life. If I had been granted three wishes, I would first ask for health because it's the only thing that will guarantee to me that I can perform the goals that I want to do or at least try. My second wish would be to let my family stay with me for life. I do not want to lose any member of my clan at all. Moreover, I'm really afraid of the day when such these things will happen that's why I would ask for this. Third, I would ask the magical, wish-granting genie to reappear every year at the same moment and grqnt me one other wish. It will just make my life stable. Family, health and whatever I want one moment every year would make me really happy.

DeleteA genie this time. Ok let's see. i have already heard that old adage:"Be careful what you wish for; it just might come true.", because one of my dreams came true and then everything changed. I don't have anything in mind right now except world peace. Some world peace can be useful right now.so this would be my first wish. if i was asked this question last year i would probably say: i want to go somewhere quiet and peaceful just to clear my mind because i was dealing with a lot. but in this assignment, it's said :"pretend you're Aladdin", so i am going to be Aladdin and wish for something stupid and superficial like money or power or the girl that i am in love with since forever. But to give Aladdin the credit that he deserves, i will say: even if i wish for those things, it's going to be a life lesson for me, and i will probably turn things around at the end. At the end i will learn that there are things in life that worth more than money or power. i will learn that love is the most beautiful thing that a person can have and money can't by it. i will learn that respect and honor are not granted and they are not something that you can get by power, they are earned. i will learn that who i am is what really matters not what i have, i will learn that all that i am and all that i have is because of those beloved people around me, and all what i have and all what i am is for those who's in need.i will learn to live day by day and make each moment of my life count. i will learn how to believe in myself and make a change every waking moment of my life.

DeleteOn a sunny day , I went to the beach to enjoy the beautiful weather . While I was walking , I saw a shiny object buried in the sand . I was so curious that I couldn’t resist jumping over it. Actually it was a dirty lamp, so I tried to clean it off when suddenly a magic thing happened. A genie appeared and granted me three wishes. At first I was so surprised that I couldn’t think normally. For the first wish, I asked him to be healthy for the rest of my life , then I told him that I want to have a nice and fancy life. But for the last one , I started thinking for a smart one , so I figured out a nice wish : I asked him to have an infinity of wishes .I took this opportunity to tell him everything that crossed my mind. It was the best day of my life.

DeleteAs I got used to, every Sunday morning I go hiking to a new mountain, usually using different ways. My little secret trips were normal, I always try to discover new inaccessible places, then I struggle to access them. Besides, the last tour I did, I went to a crave that is far from my hometown. This place was terribly dark, so I couldn't see where am I leading. For that, I was walking very slowly and carefully forward, because I thought I saw a light far in front of me. Then suddenly, I tripped over something and I heard some terrifying sounds coming near to me. So, all I did is take the object I tripped over it and run to the exit. And when I luckily made it out safely, I've noticed that the object I was carrying was very dirty. Actually, it was an old lamp, that I've tried to clean it using my sleeve. From the first rubbing movements, the weird lamp jumped of my hands, and a big blue talking smoke came out from it. I was shocked and couldn't talk or move, until I heard: "I am at your service now, tell me your three wishes and they will be granted before your eyes blink". I couldn't stop smiling, but also I couldn't stop thinking, because I should use the three wishes wisely. Therefore, my first wish was to become the fastest man on earth. I know; it's silly, but just take a moment and try to think how cool will it be to never be late, and to make the largest distances look very short to you. However, my second wish was to possess a great house in every country, so that I can travel without any trouble. AND FINALLY, my third wish was to have the blue genie as an eternal servant.

ReplyDeleteWhen I saw Aladdin and the lamp the first time, I immediately putted myself in his shoes. This means that I tried to choose the three things that I wanted the most to be realized. I saw the movie when I was little, I remember that I wanted to have a castle made by sandwiches, I wanted to be rich and I wanted to have a lot of toys. When I was a little bit older, I wanted to have more wishes but that wasn’t possible so I wanted a machine that could do anything I want (Including procuring me any food I want. ), I wanted to be rich, and I wanted to be popular. Now, if I have the chance to find a magic lamp, I will ask to live happy eternally with my family and everyone I love, I will ask to have superpowers and finally, I will ask if I can have more magic lamps. I won’t ask to have the world peace because it would be too boring but when I will have the other geniuses; I will ask them to stop starvation.
Stop starvation is a great use of a wish! I also love the idea of having a superpower. If I could have any superpower it would be to speak every language in the world fluency anytime I need to.
DeleteI, as everyone else, have a lot to wish for in life. But if I were to narrow the list to three wishes, my first wish would be that I have enough money to complete my studies. I don’t want to wish for the being the richest person in the world because money that comes fast goes fast. The second wish is that I become very smart so that I succeed with excellence in my studies, and in my career. My third wish is that the whole world becomes Muslims and live in peace. Who wouldn’t want world peace, and what a better way to reach it than the peaceful religion of Islam.

DeleteA genie ? Seriously ? I don't even believe in this kind of stuffs ! What should I do ? Trust him and give him the wishes I want ? Imagine it is a bad genie ? He is looking at me like I am a stupid person. " Okey, my first wish is being happy all my life ". Why happiness ? First because life is the pursuit of happiness, and being happy, would help me to be thankful for things I already have. " My second wish is to find love ". Love is one of the ingredients of a good life, loving someone or to be loved may change us in a good way. The feeling of being love or to love someone is priceless and I wish I could have that feeling all my life. " My third and last wish is to have a lot a money". Nowadays, we live in a society where unfortunately, more money you have, more you are respected. It is a bad things but we can't do anything to change that. After tell him my three wishes, he told me " Your wishes are not creative at all, but if you really wish that, may your wishes come true " and he disappeared. Nothing happened around me, I knew it was fake, I am so stupid. I took the lamp with me, I don't even know why and went back home. I was so disappointed that I decided to sleep a little. I woke up in a big palace, happier than ever, with Jasmine next to me.

DeleteIf I was Aladdin and a genie got out from the lamp that I found, I would ask him to make all my wishes true. I know that what I am going to say is impossible to get fulfilled, but If I had to choose just 3 wishes, the first would be the eternity. In other words, I would ask him to let all my family, my friends and I live for the eternity. Which means that, no one of us will have to endure to be separated from people they love. The second wish would be the happiness because even if we are all together for the eternity, if we are not happy we will suffer eternally. That is the reason why the happiness is important to enjoy each moment you spend on Earth. Finally, the third wish is the success. In other words, my wish is to lead a brilliant career full of thankfulness and money.

DeleteI have always wanted a genie to appear at any time, and make my wishes true. I know that it is impossible but believe it or not, it's happened to me. Last year, I decided to visit a haunted hospital In my city, I heard lot of stories about it, so I was curious to discover it from inside. When I arrived to that hospital, it looked too old, situated in a far away area, so I decided to see, what it contains inside. It was actually too dark, that I couldn't see anything, suddenly a shining object arouse my attention, it was a dirty lamp. While I was cleaning it, a big blue genie appears in an unbelievable way. Honestly, I was astonished, I couldn't speak nor did I move, even my jaw dropped when I saw a fantastic creature like this . Suddenly the genie said with a rock voice : " hay gentleman , tell me your most desirable wishes, and I'll be more than happy to make them true ". I swear, this was the craziest thing that happened to me, I couldn't stop thinking of what I would like to have , even though I have lots of wishes, I couldn't know which ones will I tell him . after a long wondering, here is my three wishes . my first wish was to mark history and to become a VIP person . My second wish was to have a fancy car, and a personal plane. My last choice which is the most important wish , was to have a beautiful spouse who will adore me, and be ready to sacrifice, and share her feelings as well as emotions with me .

DeleteAlmost all of us have many types of wishes and we sincerely wish that our wishes came true. those wishes change as we are growing up. for now, I have a million wishes in my head that I hope to they come true. personally, I don't believe in genies because it's a thing from storybooks. But if it happen to me like Aladdin and a genie appears to me. I would make three wishes. Of course we all know that we all going to die someday in a way. So my first wishes is to die next to my family and my future wife and children and I want to go to heaven and see all the people I love there. Money is money as we say. all of us want to be like Bill Gates and have a lot of money. My second wish is to have enough money to complete my education and build a future and a family. so I'm going to ask the genie for 200 billion dollars because finding the right girl and having family is costing too much money nowadays.At last not the least, I have another wish too, I wish all people wishes come true and everyone achieve his goal and happiness. Simple wishes in life, but I believe when we wish sincerely, it would become true and I sincerely hold to my three wishes and hope to get it true.

DeleteIf I were-like Aladdin-granted three wishes,first thing that would come to my mind is becoming a doctor on the spot and having the knowledge a 'normal' doctor would have in 10 minutes instead of 10 years!
ReplyDeleteIn fact,as long as I've dreamt of becoming a doctor(though I am not able to now in real life),because its firstly my passion,second its very human as it envolves being close to people,listening to them,knowing their needs and trying as hard as possible to fulfill them in order to help them out.Most importantly,giving them all the care they probably lack in their lives and which might sometimes be the only way to make them feel better.Isn't it awesome?Personally,doing this would make me feel extremely happy and satisfied!
I think that my second wish,like most people I guess,would be: becoming wealthy and have money that I might spend on helping people and making them happy as with their happiness and satisfaction,comes mine.well,I wouldn't lie and say that ALL my money would go for other's sake,I mean, of course I would spend it on buying a house,traveling to my dream places, shopping...to cut this short,GET EVERYTHING THAT I'VE ALWAYS WANTED!
My third and final wish,though I think might sound impossible,is to bring my grandma back to life,as she was an awesome person that I really had feelings of love,respect and admiration for.She was someone that you could rely on whenever you felt the need to,she used to help people out so much,from her I learnt many valuable things that were of great use to me even after she was gone!her death brought about a major change to my life,a gap that no one else can fill.So I think that having her back in my life once again would be the greatest thing that can ever happen to me!

DeleteIf i'am Aladin and I have the opportunity to choose tree wishes.I would probably be confused because all humain beings have the same wishes that can become true using money .So, the first wishe will be money .Money can help you with several things ;For instance,families problems are mostly due to money weither the husband can't afford his kids a good conditions of life or even for his wife .Also, many crimes including rubbery and thief are generally caused by scarcity .My second wish will be world peace ,I would like to wake up one day and turn the TV on then find out that Palestine is not fighting anymore for her land or Morocco is not trying to get it's Sahara. My third wish will be seing my granfather again, I spent my childhood with grandpa .He was always a good advisor and friend for me, I really preferred him more than my strict parent .He was just the nicest person I've ever seen and still so.

Meeting the genie in Aladdin is everyone's dream. if I ever had the chance to meet him, I'll probably go for something tricky, my first wish will be to reach the peace of mind and clairvoyance, then my second wish will be to ask whatever I want in my third wish, and it has to be granted. then I'll ask for infinite wishes. but if I had to choose only 3 wishes, i'll choose happiness,health and having the power to make people happy.

DeleteIf I have been asked by a genie to wish for three wishes, I would probably wish for peace. However, I’m sure it won’t last, for humans are all built so unique and different that conflicts and differences of opinion are probably inevitable.Therefore, conflicts are certain to happen, genie or no genie. Perhaps it would be better to wish for a way for conflicts to be settled without loss of life or injury. My second wish would be time travelling, for I want to get back in time to live again the best memories i’ve lived , do things that I’d hesitated about in the past,and correct my mistakes. The last one would be the ability to read minds when I want to. It would allow me to know how people around me think. Thus, i would understand them better especially if the person is one that doesn't usually speak his mind to others. I should be very careful with the last one because it might make me go insane after reading some minds, for some things are meant to be left unsaid.

DeleteMeeting a genie is the best thing that can happen in a human's life. He will change all your life in few seconds from bad to wonderful and amazing. All you have to do is asking for three wishes, and your life will take another taste which will be better of course. I have a lot of wishes, but the three that I love to are being very smart and don't have to do a lot of efforts to have the best grades and having my 4.0 in the GPA. I will make my parents and family proud of me and this is the best gift that I can offer to them. Second, I will ask to be very beautiful because now, appearances come first. I will ask to be tall with an incredible body and being brunette with green eyes. Third, I will ask him the impossible which is to give my grand-mother back because I miss her a lot. She was my second mother, agive my grand-mother back. She was my second mother, and I really loved to see her back even for few seconds. Those are my wishes that I will never be able to accomplish.

DeleteAs all human beings would have done, I have asked him for three things that would make me happy forever and always. The first thing that makes me happy is seeing people around me joyful and healthy, so I have implored him to heal all my sick relative and protect the others from all kind of diseases. For me, a good health is the most important thing a person could have. Then, I have asked him to marry me with the love of my life, the person I have ever loved. Love is the matter that gives a meaning to everyone’s life and keeps it hopeful. The third wish consist on having the ability to live longer so that I can see my grand and great children growing up in front of me and calling me “mammy”. Happiness doesn’t mean being as rich as Croesus, but being able to create great moments with your beloved people and make those moments last for a lifetime.

ReplyDeleteIf i have the opportunity to choose three whises,, i would probably take my time to think about it before saying anything. Three wishes can really change your life. The first thing that i will tell the genie is i wish that whenever I feel completely happy, that feeling could last forever. It's crazy how the best moments of our life go away quickly, so this is my chance to make them last. My second wish will be money. I want to see the world i want to go shopping and buy whatever i want, help my parents, pay for my studies etc. Life would be so much easier like that. My third wish is impossible, but since we are talking about something that is not possible in the first place, my third wish won't hurt anyone. So the third thing that i will ask the genie for is that my family, friends and all the people that i love won't die. it's such a crazy thing to ask for, but this is what i really want, i hate to imagine that one day i'm going to lose someone that i really love,so i wish to never lose any person that i care about.

DeleteIf somehow, at a time of my life, I had the opportunity to meet a genie, I think I would ask, as a first wish, what every clever person would ask for which is an infinite number of wishes. But that would probably be too easy, so if I had to stick to three wishes, I think that I'd only use then for one purpose. During my whole life, my parents did everything to fulfill any of my numerous wishes, and what better way to show them my gratitude than dedicating them my wishes. All what I could wish for is to see them happy for the rest of their lives. They made a lot of sacrifices and I'd love to offer all what they once wished for but forewent. Also, having them by my side is vital to me, that's why I would use one my wishes to ensure them a good health. Finally, I would probably employ the last wish remaining to satisfy a personal desire such as a travel, unless one of my family members or a close friend needs help, then I would grant his wish.

DeleteIf I was granted three wishes, my first wish would be to have world peace. The world is suffering from wars, famines, diseases, and many other issues. People are killing each other in acts of terrorism while others are dying from poverty; thus, my first wish would be dedicated to world peace in order for everybody to live in a better world. My second wish is to make people happy. When I see my parents, siblings, and friends happy it makes me joyful and gives my life meaning. My final wish would be to get an unlimited amount of wishes so that i can do more good and make this world a happy place.

Those are my three wishes and what I live for.The third wish is the most important.Since I was a child , the idea that one day I should bury them with my own hands made me sick and made me cry.Therefore, if they got a longer life by a wish, I'll be sure that I will die before them and avoid this situation.Thus, I will die happy.

DeleteEveryone dreams to have the same chance like Aladdin. However, the whishes will be undoubtedly different. As far as I’m concerned, I will at first wish to be an eternal human being, and then I will wish to be the king of the world. Concerning the last one, I will wish to have an infinite number of wishes. I think that with these three wishes, I will be always living in happiness and in a powerful position. Moreover, I will not be worried about the future because I already know that I will not die and always I can do whatever I want. Really, I don’t think that someone can do better than Aladdin, because when something come easily; it goes easily, this is one of the life rules.

DeleteTo be as lucky as Aladdin was in the movie, you must be the luckiest person on earth. Meanwhile, if I've ever had the chance to meet the genie. I'll be shocked and at the same time happy, happy that I have been granted three wishes. However, my first wish will be as simple as that: to bring peace in the world, so we can all live as a free human being. My second wish will be personal matter in which I would love the genie to make my family and I enter the paradise because they're really important to me. Each one of them has an impact on me, whom I shared with them a lot of good memories, also, I love the way they're supporting me during my struggles and not only my success. My last wish will be very special because I will do a favor back to the genie. What he always want to have is to be free from the lamp. So, I will make a wish in which he can set to be free away from the cages of the lamp. Personally I love to do a favor for people that are doing the same to me. Have a plentiful life full of joy Mr. genie, you're now free just like everybody does.
