What would happen if you could fly whenever you wanted? When would you use this ability? How would this make international laws different?

The ability of flying is one of my biggest and dearest dreams ever, i mean since my childhood. In every moment my mind is blocked, i was trying to think about how it will be if i can actually go up to the sky and never come back down, to be between the clouds and feel them, and why not, try if i can sleep on them.
ReplyDeleteSo, if i could fly; at first i would never be late for school, or for any other appointment. Secondly, i would surely become a hero. You can never find me in a particular place or street or country. Next, i would certainly go to all the exotic places, then i will discover some new ones. And regarding the fact that i will always be moving around, i would make the biggest possible number of friends.

Deleteflying is an ability that so many people tried to have before inventing airplanes , but thinking about flying just as a gift will make us automatically think about movies and in general super heroes . so for me if I ever had the chance to fly, the first thing that comes on my mind is that I can travel the world whenever I want without boundaries ( time , official papers , and costs ) . In the other hand I would like to use this ability in helping people like victims of earthquakes and tsunamis for example , and any other thing that can be good for humanity .
ReplyDeleteto talk about international laws I guess I have to imagine that too many other people will have the ability to fly , so for my point of view this ability will actually give more freedom to people and what governments will think about as laws is trying to use this gift in economics and of course make laws against people who use it for crimes , but the most important is that they have to make laws that will contribute in helping people .
I love what your write about how governments may respond. Next time, please focus on improving your punctuation and capitalization.

DeleteHumans by nature are dreamers and there are some persevering people that do all their best to realize and accomplish those dreams . Personally , my dream consists in flying . First , flying is the safest and the faster method to travel around the world and it allows you to do it in a specific time . Second , if you have the ability to fly you will not need to spend money so it will be the cheapest type of transportation . Personally if I had this ability I would use it the best I could and take advantage of it , and I believe that this ability will not affect the international laws .

DeleteIf I could fly whenever I wanted I would probably feels bored and life won't makes sense for me ;everyone in this life wishes they can travel to anywhere they want and when it comes true they feel so happy and exited because life is so hard and happy things are so difficult to get ; that's actually what makes them more wanted .If I could fly I would probably hate it because it doesn't make sense but somehow it's very exiting because I would be able to see and discover the world like a bird ,I would be able to get away from people a little bit and see the world from a different view and if it's possible I will try to help as much I can with this amazing power .

Everyone would try to see and know everything about me and I won't be treated normally .I would feel alone and isolated from others .However , all world countries would allowed me to go wherever I want and no laws would be changed because I 'll try my best to make this world a better place to live in.

can you imagine how many places we can visit, how many dreams will become true
it would be incredible. Whenever we feel sad,angry or bored we can run so far away.
since i was a little girl i was saying i would like to have two powers which are being invisible and be able to fly.
be able to fly can really make you happy; it can make you feel free and strong.
but to me more realistic let's we need to say that being able to fly would be a disaster for the whole world.
how? I'm going to give you the answer.
wherever there is a thief, a murderer, a prisoner they will all get away by flying to any other country in the world.
so flying like any other thing in the world it has positive and negative consequences.

There will be many opportunities for free writing in class this semester. Of course you can always ask any question. I like how much you considered the consequences of flying to all people. It would probably be a big problem. Please make sure you self edit when you write; it will improve clarity.
Deleteif I had the ability to fly where ever I want when ever I want, mmm, I would go to wonderland !! nooh, wonderland doesn't exist this is just something that I come up with, it's the first thing that I though about when I red the topic it's just something at the top of my head ! mmm, let's see, I think I would choose going all over the world, like that movie "Around the World in 80 Days", I would definitely start with morocco since I didn't see all of morocco , or should I say I have never been somewhere else beside my home town , the only times that I actually saw other cities is when I went in a school trip but that doesn't count does it ??! well I would go to Ouarzazate ( ooh crap!! it took me for ever to find the spelling of ouarzazate ) , I wouldn't go to Marrakech , I hate it, it's too crowded out there. Ok enough of morocco , I don't think that if I had the possibility of flying somewhere is going to last forever so I need to be quick, too many places to see . I will go to Paris , drink some coffee with a croissant in front of Eifel tower ( did you know that every day , police officers in Paris receive warning calls that a terrorism action is going to happen in the Eifel tower and in so many times the officers evacuated the tower just because of these warnings ). then I would fly to Uk, Greece, Korea, japan and then USA I would go to Hollywood take some pictures in the hall of fame , go to a movie premiere , a concert and I would buy cupcakes , a lot of cupcakes , as many as I can carry. that's all what I would do if I could fly. I think I would go back home so tired from traveling all the world well I just got tired from thinking about it .
ReplyDeleteYou need to see more of Morocco! It is such a beautiful country; it is definitely one of my favorites. I have been to the Eiffel Tower; it is a little overrated. You are not missing much. You made me want to eat a cupcake very much. Next time, please practice some self editing skill so that you do not make as many careless writing mistakes.

ReplyDeleteI wouldn't actually have a time limit for doing it,i WOULD JUST TAKE OFF whenever I felt like discovering a new place,visiting someone,having fun;chilling out and a bunch of other things any teenager craves but might skip out just because they cant go to their 'dream places'
well,I guess this incredibly amazing ability would also have a significant impact on international laws and bring about a whole new set of changes and improvements from my standpoint.I mean the planet earth would become one little village!

ReplyDeleteIf I had the ability to fly, I will use it to go to beautiful places I heard about, and to visit the countries that I always wanted to visit. I will also visit my friends that are away from Morocco, to spend some time with them. Moreover, I will probably share this power with all my friends and family, if someone wants to visit a country, I will use that power to take him there. That person will enjoy that moment thanks to me, it will made me happy. Moreover, if someone needs my help, I will literally fly to him, to give him my help, they may call me Superwomen by the end. I will go to my hometown every time I need to, If I need something which does not exist in Morocco, I will buy it somewhere else. Also, being able to fly, will give me the opportunity to earn money, that I normally spend in trains, or bus, or planes.

In fact the borders will not exist anymore, everyone would be able to go anywhere, the wars between the countries about the borders will end, there will be no more countries; like John Lennon said " Imagine there is no countries ", with the ability to fly we may realize John Lennon's dream.

DeleteIt's a really amazing dream ! I really want to have this ability. The first thing that come to my mind just right now is to go to see my family every single day, to have lunch with them and escape from the food of AUI. It will give me the opportunity to visit too many places and to do too many things with this outstanding ability. I would have to connect between the pleasure and the good things that I should do for the property of my country. What am I saying? The property, the safety and the peace of the world.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure that it will make me feel free and powerful because I really want to do something that make people remember my name positively thinking.
The thing is that nobody noticed that if this becomes reality, over thousands of persons will lose their jobs. The entire world will be considered as a little small village. The pilots, the baggage handlers and the security guards all over the planet will become unemployed. This is the dark side of this power, and I do not think that people could leave with flying.
We can also talk about the different laws that the big countries in the world put concerning flying such us the Visa. I think that this laws and obligations will disappear because I will be able to fly wherever I want whenever I want. This is absolutely incredible and wonderful. I could go to see the Premier League, La Liga and Serie A matches without forgetting the World cup and the Champions league. I could also help the police officers sending them to the right place in a little time. More important for me I would take my grandparents and my parents to The Hajj because it will make them really happy and proud of me. This is one of my biggest dreams ever !!
The food at AUI leaves a lot to be desired; I agree with you! I am also impressed that you wrote about all the airline travel jobs that would be lost. You have good foresight. Practice self editing so that you do not make simple grammar mistakes.

ReplyDeleteFlying in the skies was my dream since I was a baby . I spent all my childhood watching the birds , and i wished to get the same ability as them . If I had it, I think that I would buy a costume , and help the others like Superman ! Seriously t's my biggest dream and I can't describe this feeling to have the thing that I want the most in this world ! To be honest, If one day i got that ability , I would take Mrs Loren to eat couscous in pick of Mount Everest ! ( I think that you love coucous as you said in your schedule :D )

DeleteThe ability to fly is the dream of humans for a long time. that why a lot of people tried to fly; one of them is Abbas Ibn Firnas. If I could fly, no, I would not want to fly alone, by myself. It is really cold up in the air, and I would feel very lonely knowing that I was the only one who could fly!! no just kidding !! I would travel all over the world. I would also visit my family everyday.In addition to the benefit of being able to see my family all the time, I would fly to the moon and take a break from all the drama that's been going on in my life. I would also dress as superman and just fly around and see if someone need any help !! no I would not LOL !! Seriously, I would just be having the time of my life and thinking about my self. the problem here is that having the ability to fly can be negative because of example if i want to go to The US, I may face United States Army Air Forces!! that dangerous and against the international laws.

For instance I can visit my town every day when I finish my courses, I can travel to another countrie without making visa or passeport. Moreover,I can have my breakfast at any countrie I would like to visit,and workout at the biggest gym in the world. This could be honestly the craziest thing I could be able to do , It would allow me to figure out new cultures,new backgrounds,have fun,in adition to visit new places and discover new lifestyle. So it's a wonderfull idea ! isn't it ?but wait a minute, let think about the downsides that could be resulted from this super power. Even tough it provides doing some things that seems mind-blowing,the probleme is that I may feel bored, because life is not that easy. DeleteFlying is the dream of every child, for me since I was a boy I often dreamed about flying in the sky, go far away from home. For me who loved travelling and discover things, it's the perfect ability.
ReplyDeleteIn the beginning, I think visited my own town from a point of view totally awesome, and every time go further to see new landscapes, new town who I badly want to visit. If I really have this capacity, I go see virgin ground, places that no one has never had. Places like that fascinated me.
If people were able to fly this will make a huge difference because the boundaries of each countries will be no more longer working, the laws of immigrations and emigrations will be obsolete, therefor the notions of countries or nations will be outdated, we will be a giant "melting pot" community, a lot more unified than now.
I like your comment about going to places that no one had ever been before. With technology like Google Earth, it is difficult to imagine places like that. Good writing. Keep working hard.
DeleteIf I could fly like a bird, it would be the most amazing gift. I will visit the city that never sleep New York then Los Angeles; I think I will travel all over the world because it will take me just few hours to go from city to an other one. I will fly by myself and no one can tell me not to do. I will especially visit my two best friends who are in Russia and haven't seen them since August. I will also go back to my lovely city Casablanca every week end wherever the weather. I would use this ability every week end, holidays, and every time someone needs my help.
ReplyDeleteIf this ability existed, it would make international laws different because every one will be free and the government will take decisions more interesting like decrease the price of oil. Every one will choose the country when he will live. It will be much better than now.
New York is a great city; it would be nice to just fly across the Atlantic to see it. I like what you said about the ease of going home. I would love to see my family in the USA more often, especially my sister; Good writing.

ReplyDeleteMost of the people have that dream; they all want to fly, so they can go wherever and whenever they want to. Personally, I had some experiences in an airplane, and it wasn’t good at all. I had stomachaches, nauseas and worst of all, I had that idea that the plane could crash anytime. So, to fly with its own wings, if it isn’t figuratively, it isn’t for me at all. But if I had that gift, I would use it in emergencies, and that means, when I would want to see someone who is far from me ( Or when I would want to buy some clothes that we don’t have in Morocco… ) Also, I think it would be a really bad thing for the economy and the dreams in the whole world if people could fly! There will be no more airport or airplanes, and that will lead to the fact that there will be no more little girls whose dream is to be a pilot and there will be no more little guy whose dream is to be an intendant. In conclusion, if there were more shops in Morocco, I would have been totally against the fact that people could fly with their own wings.
I love your response. Morocco Mall in Casa has some good shops. I like to go there when I need a shopping fix. Wings are a bit overrated for all the reasons you listed. I bet it could be terrifying. What if you fell asleep midflight? You have some minor grammar issues, so focus on this for next time.

For example, if you have the possibility to fly, you will never be late at school or at work. So this ability will transform you into a brillant student or into a punctual employee.Although flying appears fun, it has negative consequences on the population because if all people including criminals can fly, it will be very difficult for the police to catch the "outlaws"

ReplyDeleteEveryone has a dream of flying without limits, because it gives us an optimum feeling of freedom and happiness. To my mind, if I could fly whenever I want, I will fly throughout the Earth and choose the best place when I can live just me and the person who I love. Therefore, I guess that I will use this ability of flying all times and without restrict. Moreover, having the ability of flying will, undoubtedly, remove a lot of international laws especially those in relation with mobility restriction. Thus, it will get rid to the real freedom by deleting all the frontiers. At last, I think that people now are not ready to fly, because if yes, the world will destroyed. Nowadays, people can’t live normally in peace not alone with this ability of flying. We must be like angels if we want to fly.
ReplyDeleteI agree that flying would bring many social problems, as many people from all over the world would have to learn to be nice to each other. I like your writing. Just make sure you use the correct English word, and not just French language transfers. Example: borders is the word for "frontier." In English a frontier is a place that has a lot of wild, open space.
DeleteI think everybody's, or at least a big majority's, answer to the question: What power would you like to have is the power to fly. I'm pretty sure each one of us wondered once in his life what would it feel like to be able to fly. Well, let's make that wish come true for a minute. In my case, whenever I hear the word fly I immediately think about travelling, both are related and that's why, if I had the opportunity to fly whenever I want, I would mainly use that power to travel around the world and discover different countries such as Australia and Scandinavian countries, amazing scenery as seen in Malaysia , Maldives Islands and Caribbean Islands. Also, as surprising as it could seem, I've never had to opportunity to visit the United States and England so that would probably be my priorities.
ReplyDeleteMoreover, having the ability to fly would also allow me to be close to my family and friends wherever they are, I would never feel the distance as I can feel it now with many friends who are scarettered all around the world in different countries like France, Canada or US.
On the another hand, regarding the international laws, it would for sure be different because there will be no boundary to people's freedom and that would certainly cause a public disorder. We say that someone's freedom ends where someone else's freedom starts, but if flying was possible, it probably won't be respected anymore.

DeleteIf I was able to fly I will probably be the next superman! well that's too bad for you clark,but unlike him I will definitely quit my job or drop out of college in my case. there are dozens of ways to make money when you can fly, for instance you can buy things from their country of origin and export them to countries where taxes are high , of course you don't have to pay taxes or follow the international laws, well because that is for normal humans. it will be cool to visit all countries and nations but the cooler is to discover new places and islands that nobody knew before. that certainly will be a dream but unfortunately with high powers comes high responsibilities, If you were given that power among all people that is for a good reason, you should help them and devote all of your time for them, so you won't have time to travel or have fun.

if this ability existed , a lot of thing would change , the borders between countries will no longer exist , and the international laws won't be the same . I'm sure the humanity will gain a lot by this opportunity , but there will always be some people who will use it in a bad way.

DeleteEvery single person in this earth is dreaming of supernatural powers; my own dream consists on being able to fly high in the sky, as free as birds. This ability will change the whole meaning of my life since I would have the possibility to travel each time I feel bored and discover some cultures that people still ignore the existence. I would furnish them with everything they need such as food, clothes and some blankets so as they can protect themselves against the cold. I would be very happy, not only because I would help them, but also because I would interact with people very different from us. This infinite ability would provide me with a great feeling of freedom; I would not need any more planes, ships or cars to go from one place to another. I would visit my relatives more often and stay with them longer. It seems to be an amazing gift, but what if everyone is given that supernatural power? Do you think that people’s life will go straightly? I do not think so, mainly because international laws will be affected and political systems will be upset. Frontiers will disappear, and this might lead to the Third World War, so let’s keep our feet on the ground.

Deletesince i was a kid , being able to fly was my biggest dream. i used to tell my mum why i wasn't born as a bird, i would be able to fly where ever i want, whenever i want. if i could fly i wont ask for anything more. when ever i feel sad or bored i would fly somewhere eles to feel better. i would vist new countires meet new people, and have a lot of fun. people who live far away from each other would be able to meet each other easily. life would be so easy. but in the other hand some people could use it in a bad way. so the government should do some strict rules for it.

DeleteIf I've been asked what will I do if I had the ability to fly, I would respond that flying is one of my silly wishes. There is no other thing that can make me happy and bring me joy and freedom more than flying.I would have the possibility to visit my family that lives far away from me, and I would visit all the cities i dreamed about .Japan is the first to start with; I just love their culture, their food, their entertainment. Then i will The United Kingdom, for I love their fancy accent and lifestyle . In addition,I would look for the most beautiful Landscapes in the world and take pictures of them and camp in inhabited places Moreover, I may play the superhero who will save the damsel in distress, and i would roam around to see who needs my assistance. DeleteEvery Human being wants to be the main person in the planet, the fact that they wants to control the world, and likely to have the power. Personally, if I have the power and the ability to fly, I'll definitely use it for good purposes. It does remind me of a movie called “Hancock “; He use his power to fight crime in his city, not differ from that I’ll use my ability to fly first of all to watch my girlfriend close, and to protect her from any danger, and that actually include also my family. then, I'll use it to help people and to fight crime; also, I would like to realize others' dream by taking them with me while I'm flying because normally everyone would love to do things like that.
